The Falls Prevention Service is a specialist one aiming to reduce the number of falls and fall-related injuries and is made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurse and rehabilitation technicians.

Moving and Handling Service

The Moving and Handling Service provides specific, clinically-led advice to patients, carers and health care professionals on moving and handling issues. This includes clinical assessments and re-assessments as required and as medical conditions change. The team also demonstrates how specialist or prescribed equipments works.

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability, combining knowledge and skill to improve health and well-being.

Patients are referred into the services by their General Practitioner or a consultant.

Podiatry and foot health

A community-based service that provides patients who are registered with a GP in Shropshire or Telford and Wrekin with effective and timely advice, assessments and diagnosis for foot care or podiatric treatment.

New patients are referred into the services by an accredited health professional such as a district nurse, therapist or GP by means of a service referral form. They may also be referred to the service via the Choose and Book system.
